Simple Y-Splitter for the use with a Multi Material Unit. It replaces the big exhaust and carbon filter housing, most are using anyway a BentoBox or Nevermore filter, so the stock exhaust is useless anyway. Cutout for a Raspberry Pi camera module cable (model by me). Longer bowden retainer is also included, but optional, altough i highly recommend it. 3mm ID tubing highly recommended for the path to the toolhead, but the entry tubing can be smaller. Bending radius of the splitter is 100mm for the regular spool holder and straight for the MMU entry
BOM new parts:
2x M3x16, can be either BHSC or SHSC
4x M3 heat inserts, same as Voron specified
3x ECAS pneumatic fitting
4mm OD / 3mm ID PTFE tubing
Installation:
remove stock exhaust assembly, keep M3 screws holding the exhaust grill, will be reused later. for easier removal of the VHB tape use IPA
Prepare heat inserts. These go into the splitter from the build chamber side. The other two go into the exhaust replacement from the bottom
Apply one strip of VHB tape at the bottom of the exhaust replacement
Adhere the exhaust replacement to the rear panel, using the M3x16 as alignment pins, screwed into the housinf from the back. Remove screws.
Press ECAS fittings into the splitter, a vice or plumbing pliers are helpful
Mount the splitter to the housing using the M3x16, mount the assembly to the printer with the fan grill and old M3x12
Install PTFE tubing
Parts print support free, arranged like shown in the picture. STEP of the splitter and replacement housing is available.
