WARNING: I have used this canopy on the Cetus X for a while, it was decent, however I think now I tied a few incidences to the design. Ever since I have been using this canopy I designed, the cameras have been breaking at the screw mounts… The whole piece just broke off, I've supper glued it, however it is probably due to the canopy not supporting the frame much, I would strongly suggest downloading the file I remixed this one from, it is probably better designed. The only reason I really made this one was cooling and for an antenna mount.
So I got into FPV a little while ago, I bought the Cetus X, and it was a nice drone. I soon wanted to upgrade video quality for my youtube, so I bought a runcam thumb pro, however there was no good mounts. I found a similar model on thingiverse, but it wouldnt allow enough airflow to the camera. I created a new canopy with the help of the sizing from the previous model, opened the front to allow airflow, and it has been working for a while. The antenna mount on the back is designed for a FlyFishRC Osprey 40mm RHCP 5.8GHz SMA UFL antenna.
Some pointers:
-TPU filament with support (a little bit of a hastle to remove)
-Hot glue parts, like the back leg to the frame for more stability and for it to be less top-heavy, and the wires to the small flaps included in the design.
The author remixed this model.
Re-formed the whole case, added a new antenna holder, and some other things. All I used was the mounting to the frame and runcam mount.
