This cover was designed to replace my pool skimmer cover that cracked after years of use.
I printed the first few layers of the exposed portion in TPU and the rest in PETG.
My objectives in using the TPU were to reduce UV damage in the PETG layers, to make a surface that would feel better if a person steps on it with bare feet, and to provide some impact resistance if sticks or acorns fall from the trees onto it since that is likely the cause of the original failure. The first layer of PETG printing on top of the TPU goes on really smoothly and is super satisfying to watch. :)
I printed the cover on my CR-10S using a single extruder and the M600 command to change filaments.
I printed it a little undersized at 230mm in diameter which is shown in the picture but I've updated the model and uploaded the larger 9.125" file.
Since this is a relatively large print and my bed is a little warped, I will use it as is for now to see how it works.
