I printed the bottom and sandwich templates in GreenGate 3D PET-G with 0.3mm layer height, 4 perimeters. The top template is redundant---just use the sandwich part without cutting out the inside. Drill a hole for the bolt shaft instead. To cut out the inside for the bolt head, I started by tracing the inside outline and drilling a hole just like for the top layer. Then, I used a coping saw to cut the hex hole. I found it easiest to use a triangular file for coping this hexagonal hole.

You will need the following hardware for each foot:

  • 1 3/8 in. x 1-¼" hex head bolt
  • 1 3/8 in.-16 x 7/16 in. 3-Prong Zinc Plated Steel T-Nuts

Once your foot is glued together with the bolt, you just need to drill two holes in the bottom of your workbench or other furniture:

  • 7/16" to ½" hole at ½" depth for the tee nut
  • 3/8" to 7/16" hole at 1-¼" depth for the bolt
