Tired of those broken flappy unsynchronized louvers on you X300 or X40 center vent?

This might help. It is a replacement synch/tab for that brittle broken one that fell apart long ago.

(Edit: 2023 update) The files have now been updated to include syncs for the X300 rear center console vent's inner 3 louvers and outer 7 louvers.  These are much more difficult to access as the assembly is lightly glued together (your mileage may vary in non-destructively separating the halves).  I've included pictures of how I separated the two halves using several pics causing the glue to crack apart. Luckily the ABS was still flexible enough to not break while overcoming the glue.  Heat may have helped but I didn't use it.

Warning, as of upload, none of the 3 versions have yet been printed and tested.
(Edit 2021 update: Numerous people have successfully printed and used the solid versions of these with great satisfaction).   Early 2023 update:  These print VERY well in nylon with an MJF Printer

This version was designed from my own tab (that broke getting it out), so the critical

dimensions should be pretty close to OEM.

Updated w/ remix files for the 6 louver dash bits.

How I Designed This

Do your center vents look like this?

But they should look like this? (take note of the vertical plastic clip behind the horizontal vents on the very left side of the picture, but to the right of the vent dial.

Those louvers are synched by this JUNK cheap molded piece of brittle plastic that's supposed to be one piece.

That clip supposed to clip on to a pin molded into each louver (thankfully the louvers seem to be made of better plastic)

Sometimes with a non-brittle OEM piece you can use a surgeons' forceps and maneuver the synch-clip in behind the louvers and pull it onto one pin, allowing you to then pull it onto subsequent pins without pulling the vent out).

Since I don't have a 3D printer and haven't tested these, this is what you get. 3 Versions. I'm not sure which will work the best, or for sure if they'll work. The snap-hole size was measured by finding a drill bit that passed into the hole on the OEM clip just snugly.

And here are some basic dimensions from the OEM piece in case you want to take a crack at this yourself.
