The Pimoroni Tufty 2040 Badge + Accessory Kit doesn't have a good solution for securing the battery case beyond some velcro stickers. There is a great model designed for semi-permanent storage of one of the LiPo battery packs (but lacking a charger, you're going to be opening the case often.

Assembly:

  1. Print the three pieces (I used PLA on my Ender 3 v2)
  2. Install two strips of VHB tape (it's ok to overlap the power switch indent area)
  3. Plug in the power cable from the AAA battery pack
  4. Make sure you leave the power switch in the “on” position - you're about to stick it down!
  5. Install 4 M2 screws (the ones I had were a little long) with sharp points - they'll hold better than machine screws in the slotted channels in the back piece.
  6. Coil the power cable between the badge and the middle section - these wires are roughly random length in my experience so you might need to coil a bit.
  7. Peel the backer off of the VHB tape and stick the battery pack in position - thread the wires through and make sure it's switch side down - that way you can open the battery compartment to change them.

Enjoy!

Thanks Les Pounder for your work on the original model!
