When browsing for stls for a bit case I found a number of cases with a threaded lid, however I found that most used a normal thread, meaning it was necessary to twist a number of turns to open. This version have a six-start thread, meaning that the case is very quick to open. There is a notch at the end to give a sort of tactile feedback when the case is twisted close.
Three parts are included, the Bottom and Top part of the case and also the “Bit raster”-part, so without the raster, the case can be used for other things than bits.
Optionally, magnets can be glued to the bottom of the bit raster part, I tested this but found out that the magnets need to be rather strong and close together to hold the bits safely, think neodymium/super magnets. There are 3mm space between the bottom of the case and the bit raster.
The parts are optimized for 0,45 mm extrusion width.
