This is a story tick I made to transfer measurements between cabinet drawer runners. The story stick uses Lufkin steel rulers which are easy to come by here in Australia (https://www.bunnings.com.au/lufkin-600mm-24-stainless-steel-rule_p5662992). I've used this on the 300mm, 600mm, and 1,000mm Lufkin rulers.
For your reference, the Luflkin rulers are approx 1.05mm thick and 28.6mm wide.
A few of the features I added:
The following hardware is required
The M6 thumb screw is threaded and works fine printed. I found it was a little tight, so I used a M6 tap to clean it up so that it was easier to use. Make sure to use some light machine oil on the bolts when you assemble.

I printed with the default 2 perimeters. I'll reprint with increased perimeters if I notice any wear on the threads. Otherwise, 2 perimeters are plenty strong enough.rnrnPrint both parts with the interlocks facing up. I printed with supports for the Top part just so that the recessed nut was supported.
