This is an adaptor plate for my Makita jigsaw so that it will run on the back of the Festool rail.
I love my Festool, but the Carvex is eye watering expensive here in Australia, even for Festool!
I've made this adaptor plate for my $100 Makita Jigsaw so that I can make straight cuts. I use it primarily for finishing plunge cuts with my TS55 track saw.
I've also included a an adaptor for the standard Festool 27 mm hose to the Makita Jigsaw.
For reference the jigsaw is a Makita 4329 (https://www.makita.com.au/products/power-tools/platform/corded-power-tools/jigsaws/4329-d-handle-jigsaw). This adaptor will probably fit other Makita jigsaws, but you'll need to try as I don't have access to any others. Please leave a comment if it fits your model.
The only hardware you need in addition to the prints is 2 x M4 6mm nuts. Bonus - the M4 nuts fit the Allen key that's carried on the jigsaw.
Note - This is designed and tested for the Festool rail. I believe the Makita rail has an anti-tip lip on the rail that interferes with this guide. I've added a beta version for the Makita rail. Please leave a comment to let me know how well it fits as I'm unable to test.
