The stock tail is…. lame. Way too short, hollow, boring.
I set out to produce something better. I'm happy with this. Yeah, it doesn't really work in Battle Station mode.
Printed in a few different materials:
Overture black PETG for the connectors
Filaments.ca black ABS for the tail parts (reduced gloss)
Overture Space Gray PETG and Gold for the tail parts.
Generally, .2mm layer height, .6mm nozzle. Organic supports.
Print: 1 each of all tail parts, 2x double-ball connectors, 1x end-connector, 1x single-ball connector, 4x socket connectors. Main tail parts printed standing on end. Connectors work best laying on the flat side. See diagram for assembly. Friction fit may be enough! Cement or glue for tail-tip.
Note: Relies on a modification of Tinkercad's predesigned ball-joint connectors. Thanks to all the fine folks who contributed to those!
