This is a simple cash separator which helps you keep the denominations of cash organized, separated, and easy to find.

Here are a few useful features:

  • Separates the following cash denominations $20, $10, $5, $1
  • Labels and arrows on each side of each separator plate to indicate which cash denomination goes between the separators
    • for example the back20_front10 plate specifies that $20 bills go behind the plate & $10 bills go in in front
  • Weaves 1/8" shock cord through the holes to connect the organizer plates and contain the cash in between each plate
    • Capture slots keep the cord in place without knots and allow the plates to be cinched tightly or loosened
  • The back separator has a spot for holding 3M PostIt notes in case you want to make notes about the cash (we use it to indicate the total amount on various days)

We find it super useful when accepting payment and making change at festivals where we keep our cash in a fanny pack.

I used paint to mark the labels because I wanted black labels on one side and white labels on the other (which is helpful when working on bright days or dim nights), but you could use different colored filament at the relevant layer changes.
