Classroom table pencil holders -- at-a-glance classroom management!

I worked with an inner-city teacher looking for a pencil holder that met a few important requirements:

• made it easy to scan the classroom to confirm that all pencils were stored
• was satisfying enough to use that students would return their pencils
• designed with carefully shaped pencil holders to resist breaking the tips off

As you can see from the classroom photo, this design makes it easy to scan the room and identify any missing pencils. It may seem like a trivial thing, but making these details easy frees a teacher's attention to focus on the important stuff.

There are two models – one has a built-in empty space for you to pause the print and insert pennies or slugs to weigh down the pencil holders.
