My daughter wanted a nightlight for her room and after I printed one of a unicorn I decided to take a chance and design one for my classroom library. I converted some house badge SVG files I bought in to lithophanes and then combined them in Cura. The base is of my own design.
The shade needs to be printed at 100% in white however I have had some success with glow in the dark PLA. All in, it took 13 hours and after about 30 second removing the brim it fit right inside the base.
The Base is printed at 30% infill with 4 walls for strength (people who work with kids know that things drop all the time). I didn't design it with supports in mind ( you never see the inside of the arches but you could if you want.
The bulb assembly HAS TO BE LED. Incandescent bulbs get too hot.
