Tap is a bluetooth dual switch access device that enables people with disabilities to control mobile phones, tablets and computers. It works by activating switch control on the selected device, and mapping Tap’s customisable buttons to the desired functions - whether this be ‘move to next item’ and ‘tap’, or media functions such as ‘play’ and ‘pause’.

Tap is being released as an open-source concept. Our aim is to work with individuals and disability organisations, not only to share and distribute the device, but to gather feedback and make improvements over time. If you get chance to test the device, please do let us know your thoughts by emailing [email protected].

In addition to the 3D print and design files, we have also developed a maker guide and step-by-step assembly instructions to make it super easy for anyone to make and use the device. These are available in the Files section.

DISCLAIMER

Due to the varying tolerances of 3D printers and material properties, we cannot guarantee the same functionality or tactile experience for each manufactured Tap device.

If you have any issues with 3D printing or usage, please contact [email protected] and we will do our best to advise you with alternative print settings or design adjustments.
