during COVID I couldn't get an IKEA LACK table so I built something similar from scrap wood in the shop. I drilled a sloppy hole that split the plywood because I did not put a backing plate when I drilled. So I made this feed through to hide the worst of the splintered hole.
Provides a smooth filament feed from the filament holder to the printer part of the enclosure.
My PETG print benefited from cleaning up the threads with a 8x1.25 tap and die.
The heat from the printer helps warm the filament's enclosure and reduces the moisture in the filament as opposed to just open room air.
