Description

PDF

I made a card guard to protect my cards from grabby dealers and to bring me some luck at the tables!

The text on the top and bottom is 0.6mm in height, so 3 layers if you print with 0.2mm layer height.

Print Instructions

Load the body-part into the slicer, then add the two text parts to that so they'll fill in the gaps.

Small text is always tricky to get filled to 100% on the top layer with a 0.4mm nozzle. My suggestion is to try different combinations of thicker extrusion multiplier, ironing, going slower, going hotter and other things you might think of. If you can print it with a smaller nozzle that would probably be the best.

Post Processing

I will wet sand these up to a 1000 grit sand paper to make absolutely sure there are no sharp corners or anything that can damage the cards. Remember, extruded hard plastic can damage the soft cards.

Final Words

If you have any suggestions or questions, just post them in the comments and I'll do my best to accommodate them.

Until then, as the great Mike Sexton used to say: “May all of your cards be live, and may all of your pots be monsters”

Happy printing !
