Small on-head filament cutter for flashforge adventurer 5M

I did it as small as I could. V2 is even smaller but you would need supports.

Model origin

The author remixed this model.

Differences of the remix compared to the original

I did it with 9mm cutter blade, insted of 18mm so it's much smaller. You can even install it without removing the drag chain.

You would need:

  • A pair of retractable ball pen springs (I used just one long enough to cut it into two pieces)
  • A pair of 3x25mm screws.
  • 25mm of PTFE tube.
  • A piece of 9mm cutter blade (the small ones).

The v1 has a beveled flat face that you can use to lay on the bed for a better printing

The v2 is even 4mm shorter (this is the one I prefer), but you would need supports.

The main body should be printed with a rotation in the X-axis of -135º. This is the best printing orientation for better strength and less supports (no supports at all with v1).

Don't know if it can be a problem with the 5M printed enclosure. Check the picture with the extruder in the front edge.
