This is a super retractable eraser holder with a cap. It is suitable for erasers up to 21 mm wide and 10 mm thick. However, you can adjust it using grips.

Glue is required to stick the 2 parts of the box together.

Here are the print settings I've patiently tested, researched and approved.

It's also worth mentioning that the complete model can be printed in less than 5 hours (in my experience) by following the settings I'll describe in the next section.

Personally, I use the Ultimaker Cura software, mainly keeping the standard settings, and print the model using PLA.

Quality :

  • Layer height: 0.12mm

Walls:

  • Wall thickness: 1.2mm
  • Number of wall lines: 3
  • Horizontal expansion: 0.0mm

Up / down :

  • Top/bottom thickness: 0.84mm
  • Top thickness: 0.84mm

  • Bottom thickness: 0.84mm
  • Bottom layers: 7

Filling :

  • Filling density: 20.0%.
  • Filling pattern: Lines
  • Material:
  • Printing temperature: 195.0°C

Speed :

However, there are some variations in parameters between the different parts. For example, the sliding part requires tree-type supports to optimize printing, and a concentric top/bottom pattern. It is possible to add a spring to the quill of the sliding part to enhance the system, but this is not necessarily necessary.

These parameters have been optimized to achieve the best results in terms of print quality and strength. Feel free to adjust these values slightly to suit your 3D printer and personal preferences.
