Ender 3 (v2/Pro) filament spool holder that mounts on one of the 4040 base extrusions for better stability and a smaller footprint. It uses a ptfe tube for the spool to slide on providing smooth rolling with slight resistance to prevent the spool from unwinding too quickly.

You need:

  • 109 mm (or a bit shorter shorter) 4mm outer diameter ptfe tube
  • 4 M5 T-nuts
  • 4 M5 12mm screws

Print it on its flat side (the left side stl needs to be rotated, the right one is correctly oriented).

Two filament guides designed for use with a direct drive extruder to route a ptfe tube from the extuder to the front of the spool holder (known as reverse bowden). One has a 4 mm hole to stick the ptfe through, the other one threads for a PC4-M10 coupling to hold it. Secured to the X axis with an M3 screw as seen on the images.
