HBM-23 Side Clipped Ammo Box

The HBM-23 by Busy Young Exec is a great blaster but I wasn't a huge fan of the ammo box:

• It's quite large and bulky because it's designed to catch spent belts on the right. I didn't need.
• The original box mag slides in from the front of the blaster which limits the attachments you can place up front; you'd have to mount things really far forward in order to leave enough room for the box mag to slide out.
• Also wasn't a huge fan of the tiny little looks that keep the box mag closed

I've designed this box mag to be more compact and slide in from the left. It also uses a latch instead of a plastic spring and magnets to keep the box mag in place. The design is inspired by MHP's box mag for his belt fed machine gun.

All hardware necessary to build this box mag should already be covered by the HBM-23's bill of materials:

• M3x8 screws x 12 screws
• M2 x 19 screw x 2 (these are screwed into the ('latch')
• 9.5mm x 18.5mm spring

Printing notes:

• Most parts will lay flat and print well without much supports; you'll just need to rotate them
