The mechanism to adjust the width of the area to solder is based on an adaptive nut and bolt. The fastener (bolt) is threaded M6x1. However, a non-printed nut and bolt smaller than an M6 could be used. To set up the model, insert a nut into the gap, pinch the ratchet into the gap, and release when the nut is secure.
There is a note on the printing of the fastener and nut in the Printing section.
The model is designed as 100mm x 50mm x 40mm (W x D x H) but could be scaled to increase or decrease cable holder size.
The model has a tolerance of 0.2mm. This tolerance is applied to the alligator clip insert and the recess of the slider. However, the tolerance of the tray is 0.4mm to accomodate for both connection points and is applied to the side with the slider cut-away.
The model has been printed using PLA on a Creality Ender 3 V2 with a 0.4mm nozzle. It was beneficial to print the fastener with a 95% X and Y scaling when using a non-printed M6 nut. Printing an M6 nut has not been successful but the model has been included in this upload.
