Description

PDF

This case is designed to be sleek, customizable and easy to print.
It should fit most tips with a stem opening between 4-7mm without issue.

Features

  • Set the number of rows and columns (the minimum size is 3 columns by 2 rows)

  • Set the offset of the pins (this also drives the radius of the corners)

  • Adjust the size of the hinge

  • Adjust the tolerance

Print settings

Suggested filament: PETG, but any other will suffice.

This case requires no special print settings or supports, but there are some guidelines.

  • 3 perimeters

  • Single perimeter on top and bottom layer

  • Outer perimeter first

  • Infill angle 0° or 90°

  • Infill amount 0% - 20%

The hinge may stick a bit at first. Just try to gently force it loose.
When in doubt print the smallest box as a test.

The included examples will fit most printers, including the Mini.

Notes

If you just want the box, disable the pegs in the timeline (it's two features).

The photo includes a few prototypes. The second photo is the final model.

Changelog

v1.1 - Some small tweaks
v1.2 - New peg design. Tips with a very small stem opening might be a bit harder to put on.
v1.3 - Fixed a small bug when changing the spacing (changed the Distance to -cols * ( space / 2 ) on Plane1)
