Update 30/11/2024:
- added V2 hopper body to better match the shredder body intake
- added V3 plungers which proably work only with the V2 hopper body
- added filament pelletizer which basically a plunger with 3mm hole through it. Works quite well for pelletizing filament but you do need to manually feed the filament.
- a reinforcement part for the shedder body. I printed this with carbon fibre filament and used some wood screws to mount to the shedder body. Use the adjustment screw holes for positioning when drilling holes for the screws.
To make the original model work better for me I made following mods:
- Bigger hopper attachment. Clamps onto the original hopper so you can still use it. Easier to feed stuff
- Slightly enlarged bearing holes (Body_v2_1). I couldn't get the bearings to fit without this. Use the test model the check if the holes work for you
- Special version of the body with bigger hole for the metal plate (hole size 1.35x23.8mm).
- I printed mine using soluble material to get better surface over the supports. Made custom supports.
- Adapter to use a spice jar (thread dia ~ 62mm). Doesn't clog (at least not as easy). Needs the extension piece to mount.
- Couple of plungers in different sizes
Tip for tightening the bearings: drill 3 2.5mm holes near the bearing's edge and screw 3mm bolts in.
