Star Trek: SNW PADD

Here is my version of the bigger PADDs seen on Strange New Worlds. There appear to be a few variations of the prop used on the show, so I went with the style from the ‘Enterprise bingo’ episode. 

Model notes

The panels are split so you can print them in red if you're going for the engineering look. 

There are two variant of the main body, split and full. The split version lets you print the entire thing cleanly with no overhangs and lets you add the graphic as an easy rectangular cutout with room for the paper thickness. The full version will need the graphics to be cut to fit the display shape. 
 

Graphics

Graphics for ‘bingo’ and ‘gorn protocols’ are available as PDFs and more will be added. 

Using an inkjet printer I did mine mirror-flipped on transparency film then put adhesive paper over the inked side using a ruler to apply it to prevent bubbles. Then I used a little glue stick to hold it to the body. 

The connectors may not be very effective to hold it together so they're more for aligning the layers when gluing.

September 4 2024 - Felt bad that some people couldn't fit this on their printers without standing it up so I split it even more where the longest part is 203mm. The files are in a separate folder. 

Display stand included.
