This is a customisable rail that can hold spanners or other similar items.
This came about because I printed a couple of https://www.printables.com/model/139831-wrench-organizer/files and didn't like the result. Partly because the fit wasn't so good on my ender-5 (had to trim a lot and the dovetail didn't fit nice) and partly because it felt limiting, unless I wanted to open step files. Where possible I avoid fusion 360 because of the licensing.
You can have screw down tags on the side if you want too.
1 spanner? yup! 1 trillion spanners? yup! Only limited by your pc ram and printer bed :)
I printed a 12x rail in ‘narrow’ setting with tags, that is in my photos. All my normal spanners except one random fat 22mm fit very nicely. The tags were not actually needed as they don't move on the rubberised mat in the drawer.
In the pic is my no name ratchet end spanners 8-19mm, fit nicely in the 12x narrow.
Also tested my halfords pro & advanced spanners upto 23mm and they fit nice too.
The OpenSCAD file is included so you can modify it all you want.
If you do improve the code I wouldn't mind a little msg with the updated code though. :)
I rammed it out on a 0.6mm nozzle/0.4mm layer in PETG. (not selected for any reason, just happened to still be loaded)
I put some masking tape over the tips and wrote the sizes on that, rather than putting text into the print, because then you're stuck with it.
