Camp Cleaner

Description 

This is a handy device used to clean cutlery in a sanitary fashion after use. Simply put in washing detergent, twist the base and as a vortex forms place dirty cutlery to wash.  Now dry and reuse again and again without the need to single use forks and knifes which are bad for the environment or dirty equivalents for those long stays.

Materials

You will need!

2x springs 3cm long and 5mm in width that are set to pull.

4 neodymium magnets 5mm diameter and 2mm in height.

Food safe plastic filament .

Build instructions

Print all parts all in quantities of one expect print three planted gears.

Press fit the magnets into the spinner and sun gear parts putting north and south so that they attract each other. Also for clarification the sun gear has a flywheel attached to give momentum and that should be facing away from the base in a latter step.

Assemble the gear by putting them on the base in order of ring gear then planets then sun gear with the flywheel on it attached facing up.

Press the gear assembly into the bottom of the Holder.

Attach the springs onto the clips on the sun gear and knob part then slide the knob into place using the provided flat sections on the holder. 

Put the spinner inside the holder and place the hexagonal grate allowing for a cutlery to sit on top of it.

Unfortunately I was not able to print this device due to my printer breaking down and having a bricked PSU. If someone makes this please share it with me so i can post the photos and adjust any dimensions.

Warning

Unlike food, metal cutlery does not absorb toxins from plastic however always be vigilant and remember to wipe down cutlery after cleaning to remove all chance of harm.
