This is an excellent model of the human muscle and bone structure, freely shared by Raf Grassetti (https://grassettiart.gumroad.com/l/KbAQA). It is around 25cm tall. If you want to print a smaller version, i recommend taking a look at the 12cm version here: https://www.printables.com/de/model/998190-ecorche-easy-assembly-human-anatomy-12-cm-tall.

[Update 19.10.24]
- Added 200% .3mf
- Visible in Makes section

Optimised for FDM, the body parts need to be glued together. This is where the "sticks" come in, they fit into the holes provided and make aligning and gluing the parts much easier. There are 11 sticks on the plate, but you only need 10. The reason for the extra ones is that they are very easy to lose.

Before you start gluing your model together, check that the "sticks" fit into their holes, as the tolerances are quite tight. If they do not fit, print out plate 3 ("sticks (loose)") and try again.

The first step in assembly is to apply glue to the "stick" holes and to the surface of one of the parts. The next step is to insert the "sticks" and put glue on them. Finally, press the two parts together and hold for ~15 seconds or as long as your glue requires. The "sticks" will be strong enough to hold the parts together afterwards.

The Ecorche in the pictures is printed with PolyTerra PLA Matte White and the base is printed with Jayo PLA Black. I recommend using a matte filament to make all the intricate details more visible, although it will also make the seam between the parts more apparent.

Model origin

The author remixed this model.

Differences of the remix compared to the original

Added “sticks” or “pegs” between separate body parts to make assembly (glueing) significantly easier and to make the connection stronger. No need to painfully align parts with each other.

Also smoothed the upper edge of the base to make it more visually appealing.
