This packraft keychain is a no glue object. Everything comes together nicely. Great outdoor gadget. You just need any type of string with a maximum diameter of 2 mm, e. g. a leather string. I have used a soft cotton strap.

The single elements of the packraft are ordered on the strap like beads. The floor is hold in place when the strap is tightened.

There are quite a lot of objects, but you need only 3 different colors.

Enjoy printing this object.

Post-Printing

Packraft keychain assembly part 1

After the print you should have the items shown in the picture plus the floor. Arrange them as shown in the picture. Please note that all the segments and some of the rings have a "right" and "left" part. The groove for the floor is always facing downwards.

Please note that the rings 2 right/left and rings 3 right/left look very similar. You can distinguish them because the inset for the floor at the rings 2 right/left is deeper than at the rings 2 right/left.

Packraft keychain assembly part 2

Put the strap through ring 1 and segment 1 right as shown on the picture.

Packraft keychain assembly part 3

Add ring 2 right, segment 2 right, ring 3 right and segment 3 right as shown on the picture.

Packraft keychain assembly part 4

Add ring 4, segment 3 left and ring 3 left.

Packraft keychain assembly part 5

Add segment 2 left, ring 2 left and segment 1 left.

Packraft keychain assembly part 6

Move the strap end markes as "a" on the picture through the holes of ring 1 and segment 1 right. The strap exits segment 1 right through the side hole.

Packraft keychain assembly part 7

Move the other end of the strap marked as "b" on the picture through the side hole of segment 1 left.

Packraft keychain assembly part 8

When you pull the strap tight the magic happens. The "beads" will form the packraft. Check that the groove of each segment is facing downwards.

Packraft keychain assembly part 9

Take the floor. Loosen the strap a bit and slide the floor into the groove of the segments and rings. This can be a bit difficult. Make sure all segments and rings are positioned correctly. Tighten the strap.

Packraft keychain assembly part 10

Tighten the strap and insert a double knot. Insert another double knot at some distance to form a strap ring. To make everything secure you may want to add some glue to the knots to prevent them from opening. The assembly is finished.
