Mounting Plates for 120mm computer fan on grow tents / walls

Use 2 mounting plates or one mounting plate and a holder or 2 half holders to securely mount 120mm computer fans in soft materials (like a greenhouse tent) without risking to rip the tent apart. 

I mostly use the flat mounting plate but if you want to distribute the weight to the middle, you can use 2 half sized “holder” mounts (12mm version is for 1mm tent wall thickness and 10mm version is for 5mm wall thickness). maybe you need to tune your slicer settings to print the edges as bridges and then drill the mounting hole (only 2 layers by design).

The fan mounts with original holes and M4 (DIN912) screws and the plates mount with M8 screws (15mm) but I only use printed M8 screws and nuts from this fine Thingiverse design: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4805480

Outer dimensions are about 180x180mm, 3mm in height.
