I'm trying to come up with ideas for some different size pipes I have laying around and one of the ideas was to use them for a a rig of some kind.
This cross connector fits 16mm pipes, has a clearance of 0.15mm so its a snug fit and the screw will tighten it enough to make it very rigid.
I sliced it with 0.15mm STRUCTURAL profile in PrusaSlicer. It's tilted 45° so the print layers are not a weak point when clamping.
50% infill should be enough to keep this model stable.
With it being standing on its edge at 45° I recommend supports under it. Haven't optimized it at all. I used organic supports.
I used 16mm long screws. I have two models so far, one for M4 size nut and another for M3.
The tolerance for the nut is very snug so once its in there it not fall out.
The author marked this model as their own original creation.
