We live in a brick house with double walls filled with isolation. There are holes in the wall to make sure moisture can get out. The disadvantage is that insects can come in and make hives. I have problems with wasps.
You can buy these items, they are called "bijenbekjes" in Holland. But i need more than 100 of then.
I designed this insect "filter" to prevent insect to get inside the walls, and still allow the air to flow freely. I printed it in two parts for two reasons:
You do not see the clamp so i can use old filament with all colors. I glue the two pieces together with hot glue.
The preview of the scad file looks bad, but if you download it is looks good, see screenshot.
The variable names and the comment is still Dutch, but all is configurable. I will try to translate it if I have the time.
Size of the item: l = 54 mm, w = 20 mm h = 32 mm
In openscad use l for length. It calculates the actual length depending on the with of the openings. use breedte for width and top for the height.
use a 4mm drill to widen the two holes in the clamp.
