Moving bed (koi pond) pre-filter

I needed to be able to prevent particles to enter the pomp. My pump (AquaKing Red Label 20000 ANP) came with a 'vuilwater' filter, but the filtermedia I'm using was still able to penetrate this ‘vuilwater’ filter. So I created this model which replaces the stock filter.

It has a lot of 3 mm holes, and should prevent all particles (larger than 3mm) to enter the pump. I'm using this in a moving bed filter (for Koi-pond), and the small holes makes it also easy for the air bubbles to escape to the surface, before they will get suck into the pump hose.

• The size (3mm) and qty of holes should not restrict the flow of the pump.

print with minimal 3 wall thickness and just 15% infill. I used PETG, with a 0.8 mm Nozzle.

for the 90 degree elbow you properly need to print some support.
