It's quite tricky to print the horns but I managed. It looks magical, thank you.
Very well modelled design. I printed it scaled down quite a bit (33%) to fit better with the scale of some decorative 3D printed Christmas trees, see attached picture. Printed with brims around the feet using Silver silk PLA from eSun. The stringing was tough to clean up, and due to the small scale the antlers broke off easily, but that's my own doing. Reading the comments below I probably should gently have used a heat gun instead of cutters. Still a very nice addition to the festive decorations.
Beautiful model! I did support the belly with organic supports. Included pics before and after cleaning up stringing with heat gun.
The antlers came out kinda ehhh but I think that is from the filament I was testing out, Overture Light Brown Matte PLA. I've had the antlers come out just fine on a similar voronoi style deer using a different filament. (edited)
Not bad. I was worried about the antlers but it worked out.
Took ~ 2 hours
Supported the belly a little bit but I probably went overkill. Cleaned up the stringing on the antlers with my rework heat gun gently. I actually kind of like the fuzzy look this gave on the antlers.
Scaled model to 200mm on the Z
15% gyroid infill
Auto outer brim on the feet (edited)
Printed this for testing a new resin type and the Christmas season is getting closer.
Nice result. Will print a bigger one.
Hello,
My print with PLA+ Brown :). I use supports and slowly print for 50% scale (only problem with small horns)
