Voron 2020 Retractable Umbilical Holder

Once umbilicals start to include multiple components (CANbus and USB in my case), they can begin to get heavier and sag over time. For me, there was enough sag that the umbilical was occasionally rubbing against the belts.

Solution: Use a badge retractor to keep spring tension on the umbilical to keep it from dragging.

Because the badge retractor does exert some resistance on the umbilical, this design is likely best used with some kind of strain relief on the toolhead side, such as a PG7 shown in the picture and video.

• (1) Heavy Duty Badge Retractor (this one specifically is what I used)
• (2) 2020 Roll-in T-nuts (or your preference)
• (2) Button head M3 x 8mm
• (1) Countersunk M3 x 8mm
