I tried out several hook designs available for US pegboard, but none fit my pegboard just right or had sufficient strength/geometry for my needs. I spent enough time printing & testing incompatible designs that I finally gave in and designed my own…
The pegboard I have is 3/16" thick with 15/64" holes at 1" spacing. I designed the hooks with chamfered edges to maximize the cross-section area for strength & fitment, which results in a clean, support-free print at draft print settings (for speed!). They're easy to install or remove and snug enough they won't pop out of the pegboard when used. There are three designs, each in multiple lengths (in inches):
The short and long hooks are great for lighter hanging tasks. The support hooks were intended to hold up an air rifle or airsoft.
The hooks print flat and should import in the correct orientation.
Printed in Overture Black PETG @ 0.3mm layer, 3 perimeters, 50% infill. I uploaded 3mf tray with all hooks for reference, you could definitely pick & choose and optimize orientation to maximize print efficiency for your needs.
Hopefully these are useful to someone like me that found a lot of designs that just didn't work out… If you have requests for a different length or different design, please let me know.
Thanks!
