so i started making a legged version of the xrp robot. I took inspiration from this video:
so i made some progress, i got the proprtions right for the mechanism to work, i tinkered the parts to not bump into each other, but i ran quickly out of time, i listed the animation and some photos of the mechanism, i even started making instructions for it.
the second mod for the xrp robot is the “six halves of a wheel” in whick i got a gear system with 10 12teeth gears that control 6 semicircles. bcs of the gears, there is only 2 dc motors and always 3 wheels are touching the ground and 3 arent, and guess what, it stays balanced, and i think i got an explantion-"3 points in space always define the same plane", i know i am a bit of a nerd for this but we are talking about an MK4 kit, my dream. Anyway, i ran out of time and couldnt reprint another piece that broke so i cannot demonstrate how it works but you can try making it. I cant suply u with instructions bcs time is my enemy (in 16 mins the conttest ends).
so i redesigned the chassis from scratch and used regular dc motors with a cyberpi because i dont own a xrp kit.
the 35h spent on this project on the last two days were pretty exhausting so i gotta start sleeping immediatly :]
thank u for your attention, hope u enjoy, i am gonna finish the projects in the next days, even if it doesnt count in the contest, i ll make it for my soul. thk u prusa research for bringing this contest to us, a chance to accomplish a dream, the MK4 kit..
