the upper part also works with my tail cam mount for the volantex phoenix v2 2000:
https://www.printables.com/de/model/908679-volantex-phoenix-dji-o3-tail-mount
the upper parts are actually identical
improvements:
- better look :D
- magnets instead of screws
- lower profile
- easier access
- more robust
- lighter
- angled - as is the swordfish's vtx bay
- modular
- swappable - top part fits on my volantex phoenix base too for example
printing:
- supports required for both parts sadly
- hybrid tree supports for top, snug normal supports for bottom
- 0.2mm layer height
- petg or better
- ≤20% infill sufficient
assembly:
- requires 4 or 8 5x5x3/5x5x5 neodymium magnets (press-fit)
- antenna clips in place, air unit should fit in cavity of top/bottom part
- stick base down with double sided tape
- cable should easily fit through slot
- let it (magnetically) snap together
- insert the magnets CORRECTLY, once in, you can't really remove them without destroying the part
- if you use 5x5x3 magnets, make sure they're seated flush against the mating surface
V3 might include a pan-servo integration, no release date yet, not even in the works
