In the two years that I've had my Ender, I never had filament ruin a print by sliding off the pulley. But since my old cap was loose (printed when I was new to printing, and printed in PLA), I decided to print a new cap. In PETG. (Less creep.) So I tried this.
While I've become better at printing, I still made a mistake with this print. I should have used a modifier in Orca to increase the strength of the pin to body junction. As you can see in my photo, the first one snapped.
So I printed it again with a modifier where I increased the number of walls to 6. (Make sure that your modifier goes through the body.) This one is fine.
I don't understand why the peg in this one isn't as long as the peg in the original pin. But it works okay.
0.4 mm nozzle. 0.20 mm layer height. Orca's Tree slim supports.
