Nalgene Water Bottle Loop

I like a Nalgene bottle for around town and at work, they’re a convenient size for iced tea especially. But I don’t love the cap attached and flopping around while I’m drinking. 
This little loop zip ties securely to your Nalgene to give you an easy way to carry it or connect it to your bag with a carabiner. The box on the zip tie hides inside the part for a clean look.

Printing | Recommend .2mm layers and 6 perimeters. Infill shouldn’t matter much. No supports required.

Assembly | Cut the plastic tether off of your lid and bottle completely  

Insert a long zip tie into the part so that the loose end exits thru the small slot inside the loop.  Position as shown on the bottle. Pull the tie very tight, needle nose pliers are helpful here. Trim off the excess with side cutters and cut completely flush with the inside of the loop using an Xacto knife (be careful, they are sharp!).

Recommend hand washing as a hot dishwasher tends to loosen the zip tie. You can always cut it off and reattach with a new zip tie if you do send it thru the washer.
