Need to add another MCU?
Have a raspberry pi zero 2 w and want to take advantage of Fizzy's excellent electronics mounting system for your next build?
Now you can with two variants. Both have been made and tested in person- they will accommodate soldered on headers without issue.
M2.5 variant has an extra 2mm of clearance underneath the Pi for enhanced cable routing options.
Toolless-
Pictured on the left- is best if you know you're going to be leaving your pi on the mount.
Print out the mount. Secure mount onto EMS frame using 2x standard center hole tiles or 1x offset and 1x standard tile- use M3 BHCS screws.
Caution: Tolerances are tight on the toolless mount. The hats hold via an interference fit on to the stems, and you will have a better chance of breaking the stem before the hat slides off. This is a tested, verifiable fact from the prototyping process.
Please ensure your printer is well tuned.
M2.5 - on the right.
Uses 4x M2.5x6mm self tapping screws. The hole is not large enough (on purpose) to accommodate a regular M2.5 screw.
Printing Instructions
Standard Voron Settings apply. 4 perimeters, 5 top and bottom solid layers. 30%+ infill. ABS preferred.
