This is a 2 piece impeller for A&A/Pentair pool valve assemblies for pop-up cleaners. The 2 piece design allows the parts to be printed without supports. I printed the impeller in 2 colors. Not only does it look cool, but since the body is mostly white and the top is dark blue, you can see at a quick glance if the impeller is spinning. The body is printed from PETG and the gear insert is printed from Nylon (not filled, just plain nylon) I have models for the 10 gears, but they are only lasting about 2-3 months - I will post those soon. The impeller has been running in a friend's pool for about 5 months so far with no problem.
I shot a video showing the assembly and I also made a wrench to make inserting/removing/replacing the gear insert easier. The wrench can be made of PLA, PETG, or if you're made of money any of the exotic materials - just not flex. You don't need the wrench and you certainly do not need to print it in two colors - I ran out of orange and finished it in white.
