I came acquired an old University Optics 80mm kit built refractor. Unlike the Orion Ultrascan 80mm, it came with no provision for mounting any sort of finder scope. I don't figure too many people have this specific need, but on the off chance there is someone else out there, here is my solution.
This is a 3d printed option that required no drilling or gluing into the telescope body. Sized for a Celestron Starpointer Pro, Telrad style finder, with a 2" dovetail. Has two ½" slots under the dovetail to allow for velcro straps to secure it to the telescope, backed with a piece of rubberized traction tape, and fitted for an 82mm diameter tube with a 52mm arc contact patch.
I printed it in Prusament PETG with 0.2mm layer height and with 3 vertical shells and 25% infill.
