I have a toddler at home that enjoys ripping out power chords from sockets. While the general plugs to cover sockets work for the sockets not in use, the power chord to our living room tv is visible enough for him to yank that thing right out whenever he sees it.

To make it harder for him to unplug the tv, I made this box… Now the TV has had power for days!

The power outlet I wanted to cover is a 96x80mm standard Scandinavian flush mounted and ungrounded power outlet. Might work well with others as well.

Secured it to the wall using double-sided sticky tape. Strong enought to resist the toddler but weak enough to come off some day…

This part has been designed from scratch using Solidworks for Makers.

Print Settings

This part is designed to be printed without supports, but then it will sacrifice some print quality on the outside of the cover (due to overhangs). I printed the one in the pictures using PETG and the standard 0.2 mm print profile on my Bambu Labs P1S, using Clas Ohlson White PETG filament (i believe this is made and whitelabelled by Flashforge).
