2017-05-29 Update: I added a quiver to the first crossbowman and thickened up his ankles, as they seemed a little thin after my first print. I also added a second pose, this one reloading.

2017-05-25 Update: I've now given the crossbowman a helmet, clothes, and a base. He should be usable for games now.

I'm learning to do posing with Blender. I used MakeHuman to produce the initial model. My plan is to use Sculptris or Meshmixer to add some clothes and armor to the figure. It took a while to get the pose right. I plan to make some other poses with the goal of 3D printing a unit of Norman crossbowmen to use for the miniatures game SAGA. While currently of limited use for games, as the poor chap is "nakie," he is scaled for 28mm heroic miniatures games.

MakeHuman, Blender, and Meshmixer are all free, and there are tons of tutorials and tips out there.
