The broad dimensions of the roller blank are:
The roller has a 1mm fillet on the edges and 1mm chamfer on the drive.
Using the circumference (PI x Diameter), I set out the repeating pattern in a sketch.
Inspired by the Monstera Leaf pattern, this has three rows spaced 20mm apart. The three rows have the leaf shape rotated 45 degrees in alternating directions. The lead is 15mm tall.
The Onshape “wrap” tool makes it really easy to “emboss” or “engrave” the rollers from a sketch but don't forget one side needs to be a mirror image to allow the shapes to come together correctly. I've matched the emboss/engrave dimension at 1.2mm.
The author remixed this model.
The key difference here is the leaf pattern.
Secondary, I've loosened the square drive tolerance by 0.2mm to allow the gears to be swapped out between rollers more easily.
