Skadis Spool Hook

I really wanted a quick-print spool holder for the Ikea Skadis and other hooks were either too long, too weak, or didn't fit correctly requiring modifications - so I decided to create a purpose built spool hook to meet this need.

There are a lot of filament spool holders available, but a lot of them take hours to print.  This simple hook prints in a fraction of the time, and is long enough to fit the majority of spools available!

The width of the peg is 4mm, so make sure to measure your Skadis before printing - or feel free to modify the Z axis to fit your board in your slicer.  I know some countries have a different width for some reason as I learned that the hard way when printing other hooks from other people.

Print settings:

With this being such a small print, you can honestly print it however you want.  Even the default 15% infill makes for a strong hook!  Here are the settings I used for the hook for a fast strong print:

Resolution - 0.28mm

Infill - 100%

Wall thickness - 0.8mm

Ceiling thickness - 0.9mm

No supports needed
