I designed these brackets because I wanted a small pegboard for my desk and didn't want to drill holes in the wall or make a heavy frame out of wood. I came up with this simple idea to use two pieces of pegboard from the hardware store (in my case, a 2'x4' piece cut in half), the back vertical and the front slightly angled for stability.

Since the pegboard pattern isn't always the same distance from the edges, I printed the brackets first, used them as a guide to drill new mounting holes, popped drywall anchors in, and attached with 2 wood screws per corner.

The hex pattern on the side was modelled to match the honeycomb storage wall (https://www.printables.com/model/152592-honeycomb-storage-wall) so you can attach compatible prints on either side of the structure.

There are holes in the bottom brackets which you can use to screw them down or align with dowels. I happened to have a shelf on my desk that was the perfect size to mount the board above, so there are two versions of the bottom bracket, with and without a lip.

Parts list

Print the top and bottom pieces, mirror for left and right. Print the parts hex side down as shown in the pictures.

  • "bottom_lip" has a locating feature that fits nicely on top of a 12cm deep shelf (see photo)
  • "bottom_no_lip" has a flat base

These are the parts I used because I had them on hand:

  • 2x 2'x2' pegboard, .2" thick
  • 8x drywall anchors
  • 8x wood screws
