To Use:

Fasten to a tree using paracord, see directions below for no-knot needed fastening.  Lower the hook and hang what you like.  Warning: Do not hang a fuel powered heater, lamp, or anything that may get hot.

To Store:

Fold hook up.  Wind paracord around base.

To Print:

Must be printed as 1 piece.  This hook rotates up to make for a more compact storage.  There is no way to fit the hook into the base if printed as 2 separated parts.

I printed in ABS but it can be printed in any material.

No Knot Needed Directions:

To use, start with a stopper knot or just leave a foot or more of paracord hanging down. Weave the paracord starting at one of the close to center holes on either edge. (For these directions start with the center hole that is closer to the top.)  The cord should pass from front to back then weave in and out of holes toward the top edge.  The paracord should be coming out of the back of a top hole, run it around the tree and back into the other top hole from the back to front.  Weave all the way down the side leaving the paracord coming out the back of the bottom hole.  Run the paracord around the tree and come in the other bottom hole from back to front and weave up the side to use all the remaining holes.  Leave 1 foot or more of para cord hanging down.  There should be enough friction to secure the hook without the need for any knots.  Test the hook before hanging something valuable on it.

Note: To keep from breaking off the tabs always start with the paracord running from front to back in the first hole.  The paracord should not be pinching the top and bottom corner tabs against the tree.
