Reefling line block

After fitting my boat with jerrycans to carry some extra water I was not able to keep on using my original reefing line setup for my furling genoa. The old design was routed inside the stanchions and now that interfered with the jerrycans. I have designed these guides that fit around the stanchions. My stanchions are Ø25mm. The tolerances are tight and I use a hobbyknife and some sandpaper to dial it in. Make sure the rolling guide can freely spin. If it doesn't the rope will melt though the plastic after only a couple of miles. I have went through a couple of iterations in the last 1500 miles and this models seems to hold up. I will update this statistic in due time.

Use standard zipties to permanently mount them to your stanchions. You will need to remove them from the base to slide these on.

My models are always tested on my own boat. We are currently cruising to the Caribbean and you can therefor assume that we load up the part properly. It is however your own responsibility to use these parts when heading out to sea. Use common sense and print spares if you are not able to print onboard. Especially on longer passages.
