Enhance your 3D printing collection with this Planter XL Warp Pipe, designed to replicate the iconic pipes from the original NES game, Super Mario Bros. Although not 1:1 scale (3.75" x 3.75" x 2.75"), this model features a wider base for practical use as a planter, offering both nostalgic charm and functionality for any display or project.

Print Settings:

  • Print Mode: Normal @ KOBRA 3 0.20 mm for a balance between quality and speed.
  • Layer Height: 0.2 mm (for a balance of quality and speed) or 0.1 mm (for higher detail)
  • First Layer Height: 0.2 mm
  • Vertical Shells (Wall Thickness): 2 perimeters (approx. 0.8 mm)
  • Horizontal Shells:
    • Top Layers: 8 layers (solid top finish)
    • Bottom Layers: 8 layers (solid bottom finish)
    • Minimum Shell Thickness: Top and Bottom: 1.6 mm (for layer height 0.2 mm)
  • Infill:
    • Fill Density: 0% (save on filament while remaining practical)
  • Brim:
    • Type: Outer brim only.
    • Width: 2 mm (ensures good bed adhesion)
    • Separation Gap: 0.25 mm
  • Support: Use support enforcers only. Note: Does not print organic trees

When printing upside down, the interior may appear stringy on the top without support, but this does not affect the outer aesthetics. The finished print features a flush bottom. Also, the warp pipe planter is designed for ease of printing without the need for supports. Please note that the base may not be fully solid depending on the inherent traits of your individual printer. 

*For optimal results, I recommend increasing the infill to 30% - 50% to enhance thickness and improve water retention, as this design does not include a drainage hole.
